Discussion:
maintenance issue

I have an aged 1100 Taylor toplift.1988 it runs good and maintenance is minimal. I am looking to buy a newer Reachstacker to replace it. trying to upgrade. Are there more mechanical problems associated with Reach Stackers than Forklift configurations. We are looking into a new Hyster 45-40 5 high stacker.rated at 99,000# 1st row Does anyone have experience with this machine? regards Larry s

Hi Larry

I have worked on container terminals where fantuzzi equipment is used, they have had verious problems with transmisions and several engine fires due to oil leaks. The linde equipment is sound as long as reguar maintaince is carried out.
As for the hyster i can not comment but i have not heard of any complaints.
