Discussion:
Lost reverse

Our warehouse guys left the lift truck in the yard (and the rain) all holiday week and we've lost reverse drive.

Two contactors engage when commanded and (in forward) its working fine, but nothing in reverse.

Interesting. I'll dig into it on Tuesday and let you know/see what I find.
Reverse came back on a intermittent basis - but real iffy.

Thanks

Even if you get it to work, your problems will come back. Take the control card out and remove the circuit board. Any residual dirt needs cleaned off. Usually at the open end of the card where the board is exposed, the board will rot

yep, that's the common wisdom.
what's weird though is that it kicked into reverse once it was fully charged and then quit again and never came back.

Thanks mrfixit

Try to dry it out the best you can. It may take a couple days.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
