Yale used to supply these Yellow chargers (probably made by Exide) with their ERC040 Forklifts. I called Yale & Exide and Schumacher and none of them can help. I have one that has been working for years on 480v. I need to make it operate in a building with 240v. Does anyone know what jumpers to change? It is not obvious. One side is 31,33,34,36. The other side is 44,45,40,49. It has 2 transformers inside. It has taps for the capacitors as well. Thanks in advance. JB

Yes it was. I received a call from an Engineer telling me the name of the guy who has the print. I have the Manual now. Hertner made the TD Charger. They made the YTD for Yale - same thing. Tech Support at their Ohio plant will get a Wiring Diagram sent to you via Email. I have one. These are a SCOTT-T configuration which explains why it is so hard to figure out. If anyone else needs the print, let me know and I will Email it to you.
Thanks Guys

The charger was made by Hertner. I'm sure that you have checked but there is usually a decal on the inside of the door explaining how to change the AC voltage.
If that is gone I would try calling a different Enersys distributor.
If you go to gbindustrialbattery and click on About. They have wiring diagrams and a tech help feature. Maybe they can help.
Nothing in the door. I called Yale.. they referred me to my Yale Local Distributor.. they sent Email to YALE (which is all you can do).. No Response in the last 4 days other than an Email the first day that said "This is taking longer than we thought". I called EXIDE since the Diodes are EXIDE Diodes - they referred me to Schumacher.. Schumacher says they have no idea and referred me to YALE.... they never were known for good service anyway.
There are 2 transformers. In 480, they are in DELTA Configuration. So it stands to reason that 240v could be a STAR Configuration.. well no.. it pulled 18 / 24 / 38 amps on each respective leg in that config. back to the DrawBd.
I wonder if we bloggers are the last bastion of intelligence in this business?
does the charger have a manual inside the door?
usually they do and there are instructions on how to change voltages. If you dont have the manual it will be hard to guess at it, you DONT want to guess , you need to be sure.
transformers in meltdown mode are stinky and make lots of smoke :o(
