Check out the range of pallet trucks here - type sitebox pallet trucks into google. They do some really cheap stuff, maybe of help?
We are a dealer for Aisle-Master which is manufactured by Combilift. It is very similar to the Bendi and should do the job. Although we are not located in Australia, if you contact us, we will be able to get you in touch with the closest dealer. Also, you can see a spec sheet for the Aisle Master on our web site. It's a great product that's very well made.
We do the Bendi forklifts which work as small as 1.6 meters pallet face to pallet face. And as High as 12.5 meters. 3 wheel & 4 wheel. Work inside and outside in semi rough terrain unloading trucks and containers to stack palletised goods inside into very narrow aisles. We are the Australasian agents for the 'Bendi' machines made by Translift in the U.K and Landoll in the U.S.A
Dear Mr UWE B:
You are so professional that you are familar with
UK's markting.
: )
Learn from you.
In Europe and now in the states Bendi's and CombiLifts version are becoming very common place. They will work in a 6ft (183.00 CM) aisle. Check their website at "Landoll" under material handling.
Or look at Combilift, they are both great products.
They show the application data also.
Good luck,

I have a couple of questions:
Do/will you have bottom beams ( Ie first pallets off the ground)
what goods are you handling ( ie heavy/light, are they well packed or neat pallets.
As the above mentions, Crown/Raymond do a good pantograph truck which I have seen in a 2900mm aisle, and thats no mucking around room for error sort of stuff. Bottom beams will ad a cost to your rack but will allow for straddle legs (depending on the model you choose) to go under the rack, which will enable an easier (yet Illegal) drive with the load straight into the rack. To be comfortable and without compromising productivity an ailse of at least 3200mm would be nice. Toyotas reach truck as with most sit down reach trucks wont work in an aisle like this though.
I make a very good living doing this sort of thing but can not quite understand the question. 2600cm =1023 inches or 85.25 ft. and that is one **** of a reach. Normally reach trucks work in a 9 ft aisle depending on the load. Toyota, Raymond and many others make a good unit for this.
