You can use an GE EV100 tester to troubleshoot the drive and pump controllers on this truck.
well i guess it all depends on the tech and the infomation he has at hand on wether he uses his laptop plugging into the truck or not.
I myself rarely have to unless it is something i just cant find otherwise.
Most of the time anything i've found wrong is usually a connection or a fuse or something like that.
well im sorry to say but this one was rather boring. 500amp lift controller fuse blown. we replaced the pump and traction fuses and its running again. thanks again swoop.
i have not worked on any of these before, i don't see very many of them around here and the ones i do the dealer usually services. is the dealer laptop software required frequently? it seems to be a well built truck with quality components. i am interested in them now after getting up close.
Thanks swoop very helpful, I will reply when we get her going.
these 3 digit codes are pump controller errors
150 = capacitor volts are low after line contactor closes
capacitor volts are less than 85 percent in run mode
Possible Causes:
- Faulty Line Contactor
- Poor Power Cable connections on the Controller
- Faulty Power Fuse (F10)
- Loose or Open 2X1:1 connection (2X1:1 connector)
- Faulty Controller
151 = Capacitor volts are low before the line contactor closes
Capacitor volts are less than 85 percent on initial key switch on
Possible Causes:
- F1 or F3 Fuses Faulty
- Fault in path 2X1:1 - F3
- Fault in path 2X1:2 - X7:1 - S1
- Fault in path X7:2 - 6X4:1 - F1
- Faulty Current Limiter
- Short between pump motor armature circuit and frame
- Faulty Controller
180 = Voltage at terminal capacitor too low
voltage at 2X1:1 less than 14 volts
Possible Causes:
- Faulty F3 Fuse
- Fault in path 2X1:17 - 2X6:1 - 2K1
- Fault in path 2X6:2 - X7:1 - S1
- Contactor tips dirty
- Faulty Controller
First things i would check is to make sure all fuses are good, remove them and ohm them out, visually inspect them if the element is visible and make sure they are not burnt or melted. Secondly i would make sure the battery is fully charged and has no apparent cell problems. Check all cable connections from the contactor panel to the pump controller. Check the motor brushes and cable connections.
Lastly check all the mentioned connectors and make sure all the pins are fully inserted and locked, none should be pushed back or burned and make sure the connector locks in fully when connected.
Hope this helps
Well... it looks, that this series is designed only for the American market, not available in Europe. I'm afraid, that only our colleagues from your side of the ocean can help you.
The full model and serial is:
E25C-600
A1X347N00045
Serial number would be usefull.
Is it 336 series truck?
