Crown FC 4500 AC DRIVE:
L/Side Secondary Lift cylinder removal

Hi All,

I have a L/side secondary lift cylinder I need to remove on this Crown. Rod was impacted pretty good. Just wondering if there were any Crown techs that have done this in the field and if you had any advice? I know blocking and chaining is key. Should I remove the attachment and carriage or can I sneak it out from the side?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jay

Search out the deck number and you might find some info on the internet. I ended up just doing a gland repair on one because getting the cylinder out was so involved.

I can't swear to it but I think the procedure recommended pulling the upright and laying it flat to get the side cylinders out. But google your deck number + "manual"
