Kalmar K21L EEC question

Hello all. I have a customer with a Kalmar P50BX PS S/N:585420A. I have a couple of issues I am trying to address. First- I have had a hit and miss problem where the machine doesn't accelerate, or when it does- it is erratic. We then go out, blow the dust off, shake and plug/ unplug the speed pot etc., and it works fine for a few days. It always seems to fix itself more or less anyway, but has gotten a little worse. I am here this AM, and I replaced the speed pot, located a defective PCV and replaced it, installed new plugs and cleaned and added die electric grease to the plug going to the cam and crank sensors. Of course it is running great now and may continue to. If it doesn't, what is next??
Second concern is the check engine light stays on. A couple of years ago I had the Komatsu dealer in New Orleans come up and pull a code/ repair. Several months later it came on again and has never gone out. Is there a "pedal dance" for this system to pull a code and clear one??
Thanks!

Can also look the truck over and see if it has an automotive style OBD II connector, can plug a car code reader into it and read/clear codes on some trucks that way also, might be located under the cup holder or dash area or in the engine compartment someplace, not sure on this truck if it even has one or not.

"The Pedal Dance"
Turn the ignition switch on with accel. pedal released, after 3 seconds fully depress the accel pedal 5 times within 5 seconds(end in released position). After 7 seconds(timing is very important...1 mississippi 2 mississippi etc....) press and hold down accel pedal for approximately 10 seconds(again timing) until the hour meter starts blinking, release pedal and push down and hold again for 10 seconds) hour meter should be on with no codes showing, shut key off and test to see if codes cleared.

K21l is this the nissan k21 engine? If so the pedal dance used on all other trucks with the nissan engine in it should work and clear codes.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
