Yale MPE060LFN:
iskra controller

what is the possibility that someone has put the wrong controller in this unit? This unit has rabbit switches, and they throw an error [release rabbit switch] if I hold them in as I turn on the unit (so I assume they make circuit back to the controller) how ever this controller does not appear to allow write access to set the rabbit speed away from 0. this controller does not say "yale" anywhere on it, and also gives an error to the etacc software a yale guy hooked up saying "the truck device does not match the truck type device in the file" (looking over his shoulder, I am not sure he had the correct type /serial number series to select). is it possible someone put a controller that does not have the correct functions available or do I need to pitch a fit to my local yale dealer about this tech not having the updated software?.

That is a model code that flashes on the display on startup selftest, i've seen it too many times :o)
ifsmike is most likely correct, check your switches.
Also...
If the unit will not complete it's selftest then you can pull the cover off the controller and check the ribbon cables connecting the boards, zapi have a service bulletin on this problem and their solution was to do just this, remove the cover, check the ribbon cables and use silicone on the cable connectors to hold them in place.
Note: use extreme caution when removing and retorquing the power cables on the standoff's on the controller , if the standoff breaks loose from the plate the controller will have to be replaced. They are only cold soldered to the plate so they can easily break off from the plate they are mounted on if too much force is applied.

That code sounds more like a software version. If that's the case it would be a stuck switch not allowing the controller to finish self test. But that's only on the zapi controllers that I know of so far. I am not very familiar with this model truck.

You need a good battery. What is the voltage of the battery? You need about 25.2 volts to reset the BDI to full. If your voltage is above 25.2 and still no reset you need to replace the main controller.

Code 20. BDI shows dead battery, wrench flashing. Has drive no lift when buttons pushed and horn honks. Doesn't matter on grab rail or tiller head. Used a different battery. Code still the same. Please help.

Hi Edward.T,

I have no information on this Ser,no looking at the spec checker this truck appears to be a electric pallet truck mover and dose not appear to be a Yale I am familiar with, dose it have a ride on platform or a mast, or guards to support you on the platform as you ride, if it has these I would sugest you check the sensors on these parts as any failure in those components will put the truck into a permanent slow mode but Im sure you know that , I don't think you specified the fault codes displayed maybe you can do that and I may be able look info out on the fault codes.
