My friend bought one of these machines and it came in without the joystick. Will he need to learn new joystick or is it plug and play? SN: B883N02856L

I will let him know to block drive wheel off the ground
and know where the kill switch is before powering on.

most systems with joystick controls generally require calibration.
it may let you use it just plugging it in but it may not work correctly till it is calibrated.
the newer systems force you to calibrate them.
