i wonder what happened to the future of forklift discussion

I wonder why the future of forklift discussion has diapered,
may be it was because manufactures don't like to here what is true and Lithium iron batteries do catch fire

I just noticed the last word of the first sentence of the original post "diapered"...that just about sums it up. You might know where the wonder truck is through a tracker but you will have no control over Where it is by renting, the competition will rent it through a shell company and either transport it somewhere else for analysis or send a team in to look at it in detail in the "hired" location. Interesting to note that in your opinion it's only the "Hyster" fuel cell truck that will last only 12 months and cost twice as much, what technology is everyone else using to make their's ok???

By Renting it we can control were it is, to start with Yes it will be reverse engineered in China that's what they do.

That why we have patents on it but they will copy it. What we will have is first to market and more development for the future.

Exalt, I'm sorry but your starting to sound like one of these 'free energy' nut jobs.
Will you be selling instructions to build this wonder product?
You know, 'for just £20 I'll sell you the blue prints to build your own free energy device' lol!

Serious point - do you think just 'renting' your product is going to stop someone reverse engineering it?
The only way you can prevent this is to create it, put it under lock and key and never let the world see it.

Somebody's got a thing for Hyster. You sure troll that company a lot.

I DON"T work for Hyster, and my company WON"T be bought out by the Chinese. Probably a couple on this discussion with real knowledge of the industry already know who I work for.

ehhhh is it necessary to start name calling?
you have a problem with hyster?
and where do you get your information about hysters owners? (more correctly known as hyster-yale group).

i'm sure the participants in this discussion are from all over, some probably work for various mfg's and some may be independents.

no need to make this a political or demographical now is there?

It does not matter who we work for, the future of material handling is there is going to be forks on one end and it steers from the other,. Exhalt if you had a product the Chinese would be trying to buy you out, in which case you would probably sell out to them gladly.

You Probably all work for Hyster, and we are much further on than the Hyster's Hydrogen fuel cell truck that wont last longer than 12 month in operation and will be double the price of a normal truck.

Good luck with your new Chinese owners

Wonder how long it will take the OEMs "threatened by the truth" to pressure FLA into deleting this post?

Most likely, the missing post was deleted by the same person who removed the website...the owner.

When your truck gets release, will we have to follow the Yellow Brick Road to find one? Are you shipping them off Platform 9-3/4?
