Discussion:
i wonder what happened to the future of forklift discussion

I wonder why the future of forklift discussion has diapered,
may be it was because manufactures don't like to here what is true and Lithium iron batteries do catch fire

Give it 2-3 years huh? Earlier in this post you said "...with in 12 month...." In the post you claim the admins deleted as a result of pressure from frightened OEMs, you told everyone 12-18 months.

You have been talking about your super lift for years, the only constant in all of your blow is that you haven't produced anything but dreams and talk.

NOBODY believes in, or is worried about your "game changing product"

Chisk you came on saying that there was no discussion now you say we runs on fairy dust the only Unicorn these day are companies with a Billion dollar valuation. Now if your saying our company products and technologies are a Unicorn i would say well give it two - three years and they will be.

your probably still look at electric and Hydrogen so good luck with that

oldforker, It's not so much that people don't believe in climate change, but believe less in the severity of it. This is not helped by the fact that the drum bangers such as Al Gore, have a mansion that consumes more natural gas in one month than the average household does in one year. His monthly gas and electric exceeds $2400 a month. All money earned by touting the natural disaster of Climate Change. Top that with the fact he takes a Private Jet where ever he goes and that's enough fuel for many to call it B.S. (All of this can be verified as true BTW)

None of that changes the fact that exalt has been blowing smoke.......... for years on his magic forklift that runs on Fairy Dust and Unicorn.....

What Exhalt emits into the atmosphere is not helping either.

oldforker, thanks i would like to think my grandchildren are to be save as well when i'm gone. The advisers i have are very good and weather they are correct or not is a matter of opinion. But if they are and i do believe they are then as an industry we need to change for the better.

If you look at the storms we are seeing to day and the many lives lost because of them it should be enough to make you want to change.

One area they seem to all agree on we will see the first cat six storm over the next number of years. Unfortunately it make take a disaster like this to make people take notice.

The technology we have will be able to start to change this, it won't even need much change from the equipment in the market today so some of the people who don't like change that much should also be happy with it

Interesting to see there's still so many people who don't believe in climate change and its causes.... the Flat Earth Society is looking for new members as well so there's another opportunity for you.

Exalt, you obviously like to stir the pot but you make a lot of sense overall. Increasing fossil fuel burning to produce more electricity to power more battery vehicles is no advance at all. There are a few countries such as Norway and New Zealand who currently generate most or all electricity from renewables but a big increase in electric vehicles will need a big increase in generation so even they face a problem. I think Exalt is correct, we need another answer and if he and his guys have it I can't wait to see it as I'd like my grandchildren to have a planet to live on.

Good point chris
Something that we've been taught and us old folks have witnessed for decades, the climate has always changed and has been the cause of the end of previous inhabitations of man and animals since the planet was formed.
Now with that said i do believe what we are emitting into the atmosphere isn't helping it much but is it actually causing the damage that is said to be happening is the $1000000.00 question ;o)
You have to remember that these scientists need their grant money and our governments need something to push their adjenda's onto the people. Heheh

How bloated are the figures to support these claims i wonder ;o)

Just something to think about while we sit here thinking of ways to "save our planet" ;o)

Guess What, the weather has and always will change as does the climate. Yep climate change has existed before mankind and when we have another ice age, right before all traces of mankind are wiped off the face of the earth, there will be somebody blaming it on somebody. Sorry folks ,but that is just the way it is. All through history climate change was the biggest destructive force that destroyed just about everything.

Working for one of those OEM's, I can assure you that neither our company or others are so worried about your post we would petition FLA to delete it.

China and United States contribute 40% of the worlds Co2 emissions, without them doing something major we are screwed anyway. Europe could become emission free and it wouldn't matter. UK is about 1% and they talking about new diesel or Petrol by 2030, what is the point if china do contribute.

If you look at per capita, the biggest hitters are Saudi Arabia, United States, Canada and Australia,

what i know is that its there and it shows that with in 50 years we will be in trouble if we don't act.We now have the technology to make materials handling carbon free, from what they call well to wheel , we don't have to use fossil fuel to generate electric and we don't kneed to charge trucks.

If we do this and other industries follow and use Sequestration then our children and Grandchildren will have a chance

Who was collecting those atmospheric samples from 1 million years ago and storing them in that fridge in Colorado?
My guess it was Al Gore.

Hi Swoop 223 , what we have are a number of very intelligente advisers, who understand the environment and the causes of climate warming. They also understand the consequences of not acting to improve and stop green house gases. So to put in quite simple terms we have around 40 - 50 years to improve or we will cause a Thermal Runaway which will be a disaster for how we all live.

Now by talking to these people who know what they are on about and also look at all the alternatives on the market we have come to the conclusion that the best way forward to producing a 100% zero emission product that the customer will want and need is the technology we will introduce to the materials handling market.

Now some companies will claim that their electric forklift with litium iron batteries are the best solution the problem with these are they need charging they don't perform well in an high temperature outside environment the electric they use comes from a fossil fuel power station so they are not that sustainable and finally if the battery over heats it MIGHT cause a fire.

Now there is hydrogen fuel cell technology again they won't perform well out side and in a high temperature environment, the cost of having the refuel stations and systems means they are no good for fleets smaller than 50 units, and vibration will damage the cell

are you basing your theories and aspirations on development on ice core samples? really?

again as i have before, The OEM's are no ware on this technology, If they believe that a sustainable product is an electric truck that uses fossil fuel to produce the electric there will be in trouble.

In Colerado USA NASA have a fridge. In that fridge there are Ice Core Samples from around the World with a 1 million year history of Atmospheric Conditions on this planet. It shows a definite pattern to the run in to an ICE Age
Firstly you get high CO2 concentrations ie over 500ppm we are at 450 now in 2018-09-30 This causes the onset of Global Warming
Once the Temperature Rise exceeds 2 Deg C Methane Gas enters the Atmosphere from Ice and under the Sea This causes Thermal Runaway because Methane is 25times worse as an Insulator compared with CO2 Over a period of 20 to 40 Years the average temperature rises to 40 DegC Such high temperatures cause the Earth to become surrounded by cloud and sunlight is excluded
The temperature flips to minus 40DegC for up to 10000 years and resets when methane has decomposed and CO2 levels fallen to 200ppm

Swoop 223, forking about Thanks i thought it was there then all of a sudden it dissiperd, been away for a couple of days so really have not been following forklift action.

But when i looked it had gone shame really because there some quite interesting points of view in this post.

The only thing i can think off is like i have said some OEM'S don't like the discussion and have asked forklift action to remove it.

Now to these OME's i can say watch out You can have your lithium iron powered forklift, that use electric generated by fossel fuels so really they are not that sustainable, You can have your polluting diesel truck, you can even have your hydrogen fuel cell forklift that won't work out side or in a very high temperature environment and you will need to strip the cell cores every twelve month and the high cost of energy and storage and filling equipment but with in 12 month the hole market is going to change and you are no ware in this technology
