I am working on s50 ft with a 2.0 mazda i change the epr and muffler exhaust coming super hot so i change the cat and muffler unit runs ok on idle but idles minor miss also slow to go then takes off really good nothing really change as before no codes present but exhaust not hot no more
maybe it's the commutator of the drive motor, I've one customer with seven E50S with the sem controll. they don't have enough batteries and consequently run them too low and have raised the com bars on a few, they like to push loads also. the brushes don't set 90 degrees to the com and with the com raised the brushes bounce in forward, and make a clicking sound also.

Have you checked that the park brake and foot brake switch are operating correctly. On a lot of machines they will not give good acceleration or full power if the brakes are been opperated to prevent the motors or scr been overloaded.
re. Ratchet's zx problem:
I've never experienced that problem.
Have you seen this on more than 1 card?
What are you using to program the card?
Sounds like it was fun finding that out.
Did you contact shyster?
Is this an ev100 controller or the sem transistor controller ?
if an ev 100 does it have field weakening and is the 1A bypass coming in
is it a zx card ? if so the last few programable parameters need to be loaded in reverse sequence or it wont save to the card properly and 1A wont energize..........i could go on and on about this particular hyster GE controller but check these things first, of course the other guys could be right it may just be a bad pot or incorrectly adjusted pot.
hi vic, just saw your post....if you know what scr humm sounds like, does it tat a tat,up to hummin?.if so,pot is ok,i suspect that is your problem if not tho.
A lot of things could be the problem. I agree with Vic. Battery voltage should not be dropping below 80 to 85%% of whatever the voltage the truck is when you are trying to accelerate. So if it a 36 volt truck, voltage should not be below 28 or 29 volts when accelerating.
Accelerator voltage should be 0.5 volts to 0.0 volts with the pedal pushed to the floor. The contol card has 6 screw terminals. The top left termianal is accelerator voltage. Measure between battery negative and this terminal.
Other than that, it would be a bad flyback diode (3 rec), bad drive motor, brakes dragging, a bad conrol card, an improperly wired card, etc,.
Assuming battery voltag eis correct and is fully charged.
First thing to check is that the Accelerator potentiometer is correctly set for max travel speed.
Hello, i think it is not a problem so possibly the speed parameters may be programed to travel slowly. Ask your Hyster dealer about to increase the speed of travel. It is possible.
