Kingkuality,
can you give me the complete model number?
ERC035???
The X on the end of the serial number could be year 2000 or there about or it could be around 20yrs earlier than that. The full model number might give me a better idea. The only other system before the ev100 is the ev1 and that system went defunct back in the 80's and was replaced by the ev100, then the ev100 has since been replaced by the GESX controller and now they all have AC controllers in them. There were some exceptions on special builds where they had cableform systems in them but those only came in the ESC standup models.

I have a yale MODEL ERP035, S/N E807N02533X electric ride on that i bought at auction and works perfectly!!! but in low speed MODE 1. I have the selector buttons * 1 2 3 4 5 I tried everything i could then yesterday had a yale technician come out from hytech.. He was unable to get anything up on the screen other than MODE 1 also.......Any ideas out there? tech did say it doesnt have the ev100 system but rather an older GE system if that means anything.

it depends on which control system is in the truck and the display the truck has on it. They came with either basic display or performance display panels. Some of the early model EV100/200 and EV100/200ZX trucks did have a performance mode display with buttons that allowed the operator to change preset speed modes of the truck and do some basic diagnostic checks for error codes. The same goes for the later models that had the SEM transistor controls with premium display with selector options for checking for error fault codes and speed modes for the operator.

The early premium display had 2 buttons, the upper button allowed to check for status codes by pressing it for a couple seconds and it would start scrolling the fault codes in the order they were stored in memory(if it had premium hydraulics it would also display those as well).
The bottom button allowed the operator to change to 4 preset speed modes by pressing the lower button after starting up the truck before the drive was selected. (with premium hydraulics these preset speed modes would also affect the hydraulic motor speeds).

Now with the SEM transistor control it also required the premium display panel with the 6 selector buttons which were * 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The star button allowed for menu access for maintenance and setting operator password codes doing daily checklists and some adjustment of other settings with performance modes and language selection etc. You can change performance modes with buttons 1 thru 4 by pressing the button after startup. You can change some aspects of the performance modes as they are related to slowest to fastest and change the preset speeds in a particular mode but cannot override the programmed set speeds in the controller overall. Those can only be changed with a pc program accessed through the dash display access point.

The overall top speed of the truck is preset by default settings which can only be changed using the pc program. it is NOT suggested to alter the default top speed of the truck outside the factory settings as IT WILL damage the controller or motors

All performance modes work in this order, 1 being the slowest and 4 being the fastest.
