Getting Written Approval from CAT to use an attachment

Has anyone ever had success getting written approval to use an aftermarket attachment on a CAT lift truck?

We have a Vestil LM-EBT-4 Boom that I'd like to use with our CAT DP50K. Looks like it's made by Mitsubishi, so that could be an angle to look at.
