Approx two months ago I purchased a new Yale Veracitor. My salesman stated to me that it normally takes 8 weeks for delivery. OK, no problem.
Last week I called my salesman to see if he had any idea of when we would could expect delivery. (Possibly some type of date that we could target.)
He got back to me a day later and he came to my shop in person to give me the news.
It seems that my machine, due to it being a gasser, will not be available until sometime in July!
He stated that due to the 2007 emissions standards and the fact that my machine is a gasoline unit, the production and delivery of this machine would be pushed off a couple months.
Bottom line, I was very dissapointed. Plus, it didn't make matters any better when two of my older machines broke down earlier that week.
I expressed my dissapointment to my salesman and questioned weather or not I could expect any more of a delay.
He stated that there shouldn't be any added time but that in his good faith he stated that he would send me a loaner to use, (free of charge), until the new unit shows up.
Talk about stepping up to the plate!
I do know that some of the OTR truck manufacturers are also having their problems with 2007 standards.
Anybody else see similar situations?
One thing I will say is that I have complete faith in my forklift dealer.
The service dept got me up and running by the next morning, plus the use of the loaner till we receive delivery of the new machine. That's what I call service!
