Discussion:
Forward & reverse inoperable

Looking for help with a Cat DP50K 2 speed transmission that will not go into forward or reverse; the backup alarm works with the engine running and when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Haven't noticed any abnormal noises. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Thanks for the reply; after digging further I checked and had voltage to the directional soliniod with 150 psi pump pressure with 150 psi fwd/rev pressure and proper inching valve operation with a pressure gauge. After checking all that I removed both drive axles and found the left axle in 6 pieces. Was able to retrieve all the pieces (I hope) and ordered a new axle. I'm going to try to drain and clean the diff as well as I can; any suggestions on cleaning the diff? Thanks again for the reply.

the backup alarm is/should be on a seperate circuit from the circuit that provides the drive signal
how about a serial number, and letting us know if this unit has a working seat switch?

Some trees retain a form of biological memory of past droughts, and after surviving a dry period can change how their stomata (tiny pores on leaves) regulate water, and adjust growth patterns for years afterward.
