Discussion:
Forklift panels

Hi, I hope in in the right part of the forums for this question.

Can anybody point me in the direction for buying new or second hand forklift side panels. Mainy for Mitsubishi or Caterpillar.

Any feedback is great appreciated. I am looking mainly for online purchase in the UK I would hope but I am willing to import if needed. Thanks.

hi graphicsnvinyl
I think I know which panels you want have you maybe considered taking them of and getting your local sheet metal place to make them as there is not much to them anyway cat ,mits, nissan are basically the same they would be easy to bend up ??

Reach for the sky
you can always post the pictures on a personal webpage or free posting site and provide the link to the site here
even though this site is setup to block direct links to outside url's and email addresses you can always alter the url prefix so the site script will not pick up on the url... i usually add some spaces to the w.w.w or http part and use preview post to insure it does not blank out the link. ;o)
Then whom ever wants to visit the link provided can just alter the link back to its original form and paste it into a new page in their browser header and go there to see them.

Note: I'm sure the reason behind disabling links, email addresses and pictures in the forum is to conserve server space as they do tend to build over time and utilize server space. Also there would of course be a security factor to consider for visiting outside url's and posting email addresses as bots do tend to pick these up, so keep this in mind when posting links (even self engineered broken ones).

Just to give this a bump a few months on, this is the type of panels I am looking to find. Condition can be bad but not totally wrecked. Color etc does not matter.

I cannot post a link to the picture, but I have added a picture as my avatar on the site to show the type of panels I am after. Nissan, Mitsi, Cat it simply does not matter as long as they fit and I am able to panel beat / restore them.

Got it. We have a couple of salvage yards in the states here that I can tell you about later if nothing shows up on your side.

Hi, cheers for the reply.

The reason I ask is I've painted quite a few forklifts this year mainly Cats and Mitsis, ranging from the small electric trucks to the larger ones, 15's, 25, 35's etc.

I was looking at getting some new panels as they really do finish the paint job off rather than using the old bashed up ones, and from the manufacture the prices seem really high, I didnt know if its possible to get them imported at a cheaper rate or if any place in the uk sold them.

I am happy with second hand panels as I can restore them myself as long as they are not to smashed in.

I bet what you are looking for is actually the "Nissan" Cat\Mitsu. Might also consider a Nissan part. 🙌🙌
