Fault Code AD-7

After replacing a damaged multi-function display we are now getting fault code AD-7. We can install the old display and the code disappears. The service manual clearly states that a "Engine and display ECU information clear" is required, no where in the service manual does it explain how to perform the procedure. I had my local dealer out for a service call on this code and the tech told me it would just go away....?? It hasn't. Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
