Discussion:
fault code 43 and no forward or reverse

I have a Cat p6000 lift. Just resently recieved. Drove when unloaded now it has no forward or reverse and get a code e-43 on dash. It did have a seat switch, removed and 3wires were wired nuted together. Came that way. Running on LP. Forks go up and down. Does run little rough. Also can any one tell me what fluids are used for hydrolic and tranny. Both are low and not sure of grade or weight fo fluid to use.

No I have not washed it recently. But I will check the connection. I have not disconnected the solenoids either, but will check them as well. Where are they?

"it's not rocket surgery"
update. Did a test, first cleared codes. Foot dance did not work, but disconnecting the battery negative for 5 min. did. Started it up, runs rough at idle until warm. Tried the controls and several warning lights on dash came on. Also got codes, F-85 and F-87. Forks still go up and down but no forward or reverse. 3251 hrs. on machine.
