All ALL:
ev-100

at my last job i was always told to replace the 2 and 5 rec as a pair. because if you only replace the one that is bad the other one will take a dump soon down the line. i was wondering if anybody else has heard that and if they feel that it is true or not and why. today i was at crowns training on the ev-100 system and when i brought this up the instructer said he has never heard this and that there is no reason to change both. so im asking all the techs what do you think?

I always replace both of them with 2 recs because they are rated at a higher amp. Was told by GE to do this, also can stock just the one.

I work for a Crown Factory Dealer and that is what is recommended at our branch for that exact reason, also be careful about using magnetic screw drivers when replacing these components. I have heard that the magnetic screw driver will short them out, never had that problem. Make sure to use heat sink compound on them also. What was the trainers name if i may ask, and was it DP training
