Clark TMG17:
Error codes: -99 & -01

We are working on a Clark TMG17, when you turn the key it is throwing the code -99 and when you go to run it it throws a -01. Everything seems to be functioning properly but just trying to figure out what these mean. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

BTW, this is an electric unit.

Yep need the handset to change maintenance code to 255 and the code -01 is hand brake switch (or combination seat switch they are both in same circuit) -remove the left dash panel and under the handbrake the switch arm isn't coming in contact with the pin on the brake mechanism -I like to put a piece of hose on the pin -once you see it you'll know what I mean

Thanks Swoop, would we need a scanner or computer hookup for that or can you do that from the control panel? I haven't been out to see the machine myself, just relaying from our tech.

the maintenance code is something the tech can set to warn the operator that a service is coming up. It is just a convience alert to allow you to keep the truck serviced on time. This code can be turned off by setting funtcion 19 and 20 in the controller to 0 value.

Any way to find out what the maintenance code is for? If it is a brush warning, any way, short of checking each motor, to find out which motor or whatever else it may be?

01 could be park brake code, or deadman or seat switch depending on how the truck is wired up and type of truck it is.
99 is a maintenance alert code

I think that 99 is a maintenance code. 01 is a parking brake code.

-01 is the seat switch circuit -99 is usually a brush wear or a temp sensor but is something that goes through the truck management module and can be whatever the engineer wants it to be.

In this week’s Forkliftaction News we look at two topics coming out of LogiMAT 2025 held in Stuttgart in March. The first was the large increase in exhibitors coming from China who are making it clear they have their sights set on markets outside of China (see story). The second is a closer look at what was the main theme of the trade show - the growing rise in automation, how it is changing the sector and how enthusiastically it is being embraced by younger generations...
