Discussion:
Error 73

Hi there,

I have the above truck. It is displaying err 73 and after a few seconds err 52 also shows. I'm led to believe err 73 is to do with the SAS system, but have no info on how to diagnose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CHRIS, error 52 is yaw rate sensor abnormality.
Estimated cause, defective yaw rate sensor. Yaw rate sensor is located inside the SAS controller. The SAS controller is located above the oil control valve behind the toe board. I would check all plugs and wiring associated with the SAS, especially the wiring around the controller and oil control valve. An extreme shock to the SAS controller can also cause the yaw rate sensor to fail. I do not see an error code 73 associated with the SAS system. Can you provide the engine information. I will see if 73 is a ECM code.
