Hello, I have a problem with error 4: 182 on BT RRE-2014. The truck stops raising, shows error 4: 182 and indicator arrow up.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance.

Hi, first of all you have to check encoders B18 & b19 &, sensors b46, b57&b58. If everything is ok you may try changing parameter 1273 and mast transition valves calibration. I had same fault, swapping between 180, 181& 182. I did it and it was true for me.

Had the same problem. Checked everything as per workshop manual, i.e height encoder, cable, software version etc. Called out Toyota who proceeded to spend 1 month trying to identify fault. Observed them changing controllers, changing hydraulic valve settings, upgrading software..... After 1 month they fixed the problem and told me the problem was wear in the lift chains and solved by adjusting them!

You can check the basics like the metal sensor bar, bowden cable & height counter for psychical damage.

I would disconnect the battery then check the electrical connectors at the height counter assembly.

If you had a BT CAN service key you could have looked at the diagnostic screen & see what the height counter channels & sensors are doing as you operate the truck.

FWIW: Since the RRE first came out back in 2009, ive only ever changed 1 height counter for an electrical fault - there normally bulletproof.

Thank you for the information. I have no BT CAN. Will I be able to do without him?

4:182 = No pulses from the free lift height sensor on lift/lowering.

Either defective free lift height counter assembly, the bowden cable is loose or there is a wiring fault.

Also check the metal sensor bar at the bottom of the mast as these can get bent & upset the sensor that activates the height counter.

Do you have a BT CAN service key?
