that lift have an idle up dashpot on it?
generally when you load up the engine the dashpot will use the vacuum change and trigger the dashpot to push the throttle just a bit to keep it in a good power range so it won't stall out under a load from steering or hydraulic operation.
Some times the valves get a lot of build up in the intake side and this may be what is causing poor power
Compression is very good..High 155 and low i 150
do a compression check should answer all your questions or at least give you a better place to start
It drives fine. When lifting it puts "strain" on the engine....pump dead heading?
What happens when you turn the steering? Also what happens if you turn the steering completely to the right or left and hold it against the stop then try to lift?
It's like there is too much load on the engine. It drives fine unloaded.
Hi Ed, you say it wants to die? Is it running out of power type of die, or is it just shutting off like you are turning the key off? Does it have plenty of driving power?
