this unit has electric park brake which applies about 6 seconds after release of dead man. Should the breaks apply immediately once the dead man is released?

i hope to receive a manual for a Crown SP36 in about a week.If it is a service manual i will let you know. Does your lift have electric brakes?
I have a Crown electric
MOD# SP3020-30
SER# 1A242385
I am trying to figure out how to adjust the brake on it.
thanks again for the input, i have access to a Crown SP36 service manual would this cover the 30SP36TL model and provide the correct brake adjustment and wiring info.
smooth stopping is done by "plugging", emergency stopping is done by removing your foot from the "dead man".
brake should apply as soon as the foot is off the dead man.
unit should not travel more than it's length, after removing foot from deadman.
