i have a old ele towmotor about mid 60 ,problem when you hit the excelerrater [sp[ its wide open ,started out doing it in rev. only now both ways. checked contacts seemed to be clean.ive only had it a few months.did notice it had a new pot. under floor board.any ideas? thanks

thanks for comeback towmotor brand m40 sn #24n369 type E.as for pot it did run briefly slow, now as fast as it goes both ways.hope this helps. and we dont run it very often 90% of time it sets.

can you be more specific on the brand, model and possibly the serial number of this unit?

having this information could be of great help. Since the pot appears to have been replaced it may be the wrong one? we can check this with the right information.
