That was good Edward, you knew my joke. I was expecting an answer of, "no, thats only in America." To which my reply was going to be, "then what comes after the 3rd of July in Canada."
Well I have another one for you; there was a professor doing a archology dig in the ruins of ancient Israel. He claimed he discovered a coin dated 400BC, he was either kidding or not telling the truth, why?
July 1 is called Canada Day (similar to our July 4 but not quite.
Read this Wikeipedia definition
"Frequently referred to as "Canada's birthday", particularly in the popular press, the occasion marks the joining of the British North American colonies of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Province of Canada into a federation of four provinces (the Province of Canada being divided, in the process, into Ontario and Quebec) on July 1, 1867. Canada became a kingdom in its own right on that date, but the British parliament and Cabinet kept limited rights of political control over the new country that were shed by stages over the years until the last vestiges were surrendered in 1982, when the Constitution Act patriated the Canadian constitution."
Under the federal Holidays Act, Canada Day is observed on July 1, unless that date falls on a Sunday, in which case July 2 is the statutory holiday, although celebratory events generally take place on July 1, even though it is not the legal holiday. If it falls on a Saturday, any businesses normally closed that day will generally dedicate the following Monday as a day off.
In the Detroit, Michigan and Windsor Canada areas they have a celebration called the Freedom Festival (that celebrates both the July 1 & July 4) which culminates with a Fireworks display on a barge in the middle of the Dertroit River. The cost of this display was born by Target & now I think the billionaire owner (Mike Ilitch)of Little Ceasars, Detroit Tiger & Red Wings) does now.
Was born, raised and educated on the south side of Detroit and visit family in the area now & then and enjoy Labatt's Blue when I take the bridge over & tunnel back - have to travel south to get to Canada.
dude, this is tooooooo good an opening for me not to jump into...
(I should apologize to yale303 for answering for him, please accept my apology)
Of course they have a 4th of July, they also have a 3rd and 5th of July... (and a whole bunch of other numbers, up to 31, consecutively)
it's not the Canadian "Independence Day" is all...
but it should be a nice day in 'construction season'.
I hear they have the whole month of July in Australia, too, as well as August and September, but it is winter there...
lol
thanks 7777
Well thank you yale303, is there a 4th of July in Cananda?
good day, the board by the coil is called a rev switch, it has to see so many rpm before it will turn spark on, kind of same thing for pc board on air cleaner side, it turns fuel solenoid's on after so many rpm are seen.
hope this helps.
Hello Edward, it has a mazda engine.
We were removing the radiator when I came across it. The start relay is under the L/S of the dash, so I dont think its a start relay. When the truck goes back together I'll disconnect and see what happens.
As I remember, a hyster xm I was working on had one too.
sounds easy, but is it a GM or Mazda motor?
looks like it is for sure a relay (PN 5200388-16). what happens (or doesn't happen) when you unplug it?
my instant assumption would be a neutral safety relay that when unplugged the truck does not start.
