E9 code

Any ideas what would cause an E9 on a Toyota 5fbc25. The steer motor brushes look good. The unit will drive in creep mode and the steer motor operates ok. The battery is testing strong, over 36.8 volts under load. All the other motor brushes are good as well.

This code is for brush wear for the power steering motor....for trucks with this option......check brushes and brush wear indicator...
