Dear all,
I am working in cold storage business, we are located in Vietnam (Southeast Asia)
Recently we are offered by Crown some reach truck. But we are confused which one to choose AC or DC model ? How CROWN trucks are compared with similar RAYMOND trucks ?
AC is only 1000USD more expensive, however, I read somewhere that CROWN AC models do not have good operation in the Cold storage.
Your recommendations are highly appreciated.
Also we are looking for a good supplier of spare parts for RAYMOND and CROWN reach truck and electric pallet truck
Thanks in advance
Trung

All Raymond's are AC. They have been building them for over ten years. Cold Storage has no impact on a AC vs DC application.
Both trucks are good. Who can support you better with parts and service would be the deciding factor.
Can you give a advice whether CROWN is better than RAYMOND or not ?
I can tell you this. The Crown DC truck is about as good as you can get for holding up in cold strorage. The Crown AC truck has only been out 2 or 3 years, and as a tech, I have had no experiece with the AC truck in cold storage. I have heard that the motor contollers on the Raymond AC trucks had problems handling the moisture in a freezer, and Crown and Raymond were using AC motor controllers from the same supplier.
Hope this helps
