Bought brand new fork lift / traction batteries for off grid installation. 12x 840ah C5 (24v system)
Arrived but liquid levels were not right, not even half full.
Supplier having to ask manufacturers?
Supplier has apologised, not naming!
Would really appreciate manufacturer or worker in trade for advise please.
I know once top up to use pure distilled water, but these first brand new and believe are mixed acid/ water but not sure percentages.
Have all safety gear and proper equipment
And various levels of fluids for batteries available.
Any help much appreciated
Thank you

Thank you for response and for details/information,tips
They were wrapped and strapped,

They asked for pics and sent immediately,
Rang company several times today
and they no answers or solutions yet.
Ref pallet was couple tiny drops but if lost half of each would of been soaked talking litres missing
I have some 1.28gravity seem close.
Certainly want acid replacing
Just dont want to void warranty.
If dont sort within few days either fill myself or get refunded (blew 2.2k on them)
Much appreciated and thanks
Was there any evidence that the batteries tipped over during shipment? It seems unlikely that they just partially filled every cell. I'd say refuse shipment if that's an option. If it's not, I'd ask your supplier to provide acid to refill them. And if they won't supply it, you can get it yourself. The specific gravity for new batteries is 1.265, that's probably the only strength you can buy. It isn't mixed with water, just add it straight.
By the way. Don't ever mix water and battery acid but if you do, pour the acid into the water. Not the other way around.
