stand by your guns derek. if you are asked to inspect a machine and in your opinion it is unsafe it should not be used till rectified.
I do have the Department of trade and industry looking into this but luckily for me the HSE were contacted by myself last week with the problem that I had as the cable was given to me then and sounded alarm bells ringing.
I doubt that I would make anything substantial out of any claim but look more at what the outcome will be that will protect the customer that is going to be using it!
I also have an email that was sent to the company head office voicing concerns about the current lack of H&S.
If what you say is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth then after the unfair dismissal case you will probably be a millionaire.
