Discussion:
Come out of gear. Forward or reverse.

Hi, I recently purchased a CY50 serial number Y50B-134-2085. The motor runs great but the lift comes out of gear when its challenged. A small rock will prevent the machine from moving. Its full of ATF and i don't smell clutch burning, but its acting like it. Please help, Im new to these forklifts and not sure what to look for.
Thanks

No change. Machine still comes out of gear if it goes up a small hill or even climbs through a small pot hole.

It is also common that the springs in the slave cylinder break and will not let the arm attached to the salve retract and engage the transmission.

Check the left master cylinder to see if there is free travel. On top of the trans control cover there should be a cylinder housing with a brake line going to it. That is the inching slave, make sure there is zero pressure on this with the left pedal all the way up.
