Discussion:
code 8c

I keep getting code 8c intermittingly. I have replaced the sensor and switch on the deadman along with any worn parts. I set pedal just as manual says too. Also replaced the brake. It wasnt coming up even and was dragging partcially. Any help would be appreciated.

I installed a new spring when i put new DM swith in and checked pedal bushing. They looked good and tight but not too tight. Maybe it is the short harness. It looks like it the original. I will try that. Thanks

The brake spring should always be changed as the pedal can drop in height. The short harness attached to the DM switch often goes open. If the brake pivot bushings are gone, the switch may not open fast enough. That switch should be on with very little pedal travel.
