Hey Fred
Thanks for sharing your knowledge here. Forums are perfect for the qualified but not professional , and the nearest tech is several hundred miles away.

So... Thanks!

Haha yeah I am with you on that people freak out don't wanna shell out service tech money so they post questions here for free they get their answer and they never come back until another probmes arises. I usually don't pay attention to politics that much, they are big fat liars and either way I am gonna have to pay my taxes one way or another. This forum should have more features, like a mobile app, post count, resolved or not resolved, but well why do I care I am sure they don't make any money outta this forum. I was also thinking of making a mobile app to access this forum we will see.

****, the fact that no one ever says thanks or lets you know how they made out is what really bugs me!!!!
You take the time to answer a question and never hear BOO from them. I`ve given confidential info that only a Raymond tech could give....but no response or thank you.
How are things in Texas....Is Rick Perry doing a good job keeping Texas in the black...

Hi Ashley, How are things in the former homeland of my Mom?
Code 81 is the lift pot out of range. These 7400 's rarely have pot failures. The control handle cable is known to fall off or get loose. You can remove the handle by using a 5mm hex drive by the access hole under the handle, on top of the battery. the handle will come right out without taking any covers off. If the cable is ok, check the handle carefully for cracks. If it physically looks good and the pot is free to rotate, you can try RE-learn. You need access to the superword. Factory default is "2". But most likely someone changed it. Just hit the enter button while the truck is on and press 2 then enter. worth a try. If re-learn doesn't work then the pot may be faulty. You can change just the pot as it unplugs from the main card inside, or buy a rebuilt. Either way, you need superword to Re-learn the new pot. Soda pop or coffee is the only thing that ruins these pots. NB: this code can be generated by someone touching the lift as the Key is turned on. Good luck and please let me know how things turned out!

The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
