Yale GDP050VXEXRE086:
Code 676

After using unit and it warms up a 676 code and a 673-3 code shows up. If unit is turned off when code is on it will not restart until waiting on it to cool off, takes about an hour then it will restart. Unit runs fine other wise. I am not the one operating the unit so I don't get to see the codes or symptoms this is the information that is given to me. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Bandit,

You will need an engineers access code or possibly a suppervisiors code to access menus and error log log if you have not got that then you will have to get a Yale engineer in to do the job for you.

Can you please tell me the steps to delete the error log? The problem is that this code seems to pop up regularly when the unit gets hot and it's hot outside making me think that there is a real issue. It always restarts after it cools of a bit.

Do know where there are common places for a short?

Do you happen to know what the 673-3 code relates to?
Thanks.

Hi Bandit,

That code relates to glow plug driver being high,
I had a similar problem on a diesel truck, unfortunately I went about solving the problem wrong, I checked out the whole glow plug circuit and could find nothing wrong, it gradually dawned on me I had not deleted the error log as soon as I did that the truck started ok. Experience has taught me that this system some times loads and ends up with a glitch, I put it down to the exceptionally cold weather at the time, delete the error log and the engine should start.
