As I always say when purchasing new equipment- dealer support is key. Whichever brand offers superior service is the brand I'd go with. I'd do a short term rental with the dealers you're thinking about purchasing from to get a feel for their service. All brands have some sort of quirk depending on the model- but if you can't get service or parts, it doesn't matter how good the machine is.

Yes Forkingabout, with no doubt!!I just would like to add the TOYOTA too, great machines in my opinion.
Clark and Hyster have great quality, but the problem(here in Portugal)is that we dont have a good representation and support for that brands, and getting parts sometimes is a headache!!!

Over on your side of the Atlantic maybe, but over here on this side i would go with Linde for IC counter balance machines & BT for the indoor warehouse machines.

The ones I've been around leave little doubt. The Hyster is by far the superior truck. Not that I would be prejudicial. Personally, I think Hyster is the best on the market. Other opinions may vary.
