Discussion:
Chronic overheating

I have two of these machines. One is serial number 10200, the other is 11021. They both have new radiators, thermostats, fan drives and fans (the fan sits behind the radiator in the counterweight). The only way to Keep them from overheating is to remove the inspection cover behind the operator to allow the air to escape behind the operator. Is there a service bulletin anyone is aware of on these machines?

Run many of these and never had any issues. Several things to check and make sure is adjustment to inch pedal cable. A slipping transmission will overheat the entire system. We have not any issues with the 1FS motors overheating. 10w hydraulic oil. Unless otherwise specified. Check components with an infrared temp gun. Lower fan drive bearing taking grease while running. Had one recently with stuck park brake cables causing system to heat up due to brakes dragging. Again had a rare issue , lift come from an auction somewhere in New York.

I am having the same issue with ours. We have flushed everything out clean. Replaced the water pump and thermostat. The water pump still looked new. We bought this unit used and now I see why they might have sold it.

I know this is an old post, but did you ever resolve your issue?
