Cat P5000

P5000 Cat with a K25 nissan LPG engine. While running engine it make a slapping or metal to metal ringing noise. I have removed PTO chain and ran the engine noise still there. I have replaced the timing chain , chain tensioner , and both gears. Noise is still there. Removed the oil pan and checked , no metal in the oil pan piston skirts ok ,cylinder walls look ok. no real end play in the crank shaft. Im at a loss guys. Has anyone had anything like this with these engines. Your help would be great , thanks

Check your engine mounts and be sure you have rubber! One last thought here. Has the idle air volume learn been performed as this will also adjust the timing back to -0-/ base.

tried listening with a stethoscope? exhaust related? deep engine block? transmission flex plate? torque converter? equipped with under frame screen? does it change with mast tilt? does it change with engine speed or truck speed?

grasps at straws....

have you tried running it with the belts off? to see if the noise is from a fan or alt noise?
