cat ep lift truck steering issue

I have a cat electric model ep s.n. 6mm00448 and the if i try to go forward one wheel spins forward and the other back-words, but reverse works OK, is there some kind of sensor that needs adjusting or ??.

if the contactor are your probleme your bether to put contactor assembly. Kits are pain in the
.... you need shims (bad experience).

on some of the three wheel nissans there is a pot above the back wheel which controls the contactors. i had a faulty pot which caused this fault. but like i said it was a nissan.

Yes it is a three wheel truck and what your telling me makes sense, Ill check the contactors. Thanks!!

Is it a three wheel truck?
On the old type three wheeled Cat EP forklifts there are two changeover direction contactors one for each drive motor. One is normally in forward and the other is normally in reverse, so if the contactor that is normally closed in reverse is not operating then that motor will only run in reverse.
