Hey There! Looking to re work the brake system on my Toyota 2fg25
Second series LP 5000lb
This old horse works great except for the brakes. I have rebuilt both master cylinders, they pump fluid I can bleed off pressure, now to clear out lines and rework wheel brake cylinders. Removed lugs removed wheels, hub is solidly in place, Removed bearing cover nuts and lock washers, nothing is moving. I'm to this point. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the hub.

That's a good trick. Those cone washers were fun....... adjusted the brakes back a bit and it finally came off. I like the reverse the drive shift trick. It's up and running like a big dog now, and it stops! Thank you Sir!

Its a while since I worked on one of these but this is how I used to remove brake drums:
1. Remove wheel.
2. Partially drain differential oil level.
3. Remove drive (Half) shaft nuts and lock washers.
4. Tap drive shaft with hammer to shock tapered cone washers loose.
5. Take out drive shaft. Drive shaft seals are inboard and oil can leak back into tube if level not lowered as in stage 2.
6. Remove both bearing locknuts and tabbed washer.
7. Try to wiggle drum free.
8. Sometimes if the drum is worn a lip can form stopping drum from pulling off.
9. Try to back off adjustment on brake shoes.
10. If it still will not come off, turn drive shaft around and fit back on to studs with a couple of nuts. Use drive shaft as extra leverage to wiggle drum free.
