Discussion:
Block Heater

Wondering if anyone has any experience putting a block heater in this forklift (CPJ02A25PV/CPJ02-9W923) with the H20-II engine? The heater is a ZEROSTART and says for the H20-II engine to install in the left rear plug with the element at 3 o'clock. We have tried this and all the other freeze plugs and the element seems to be too thick for the left rear and not fit in the others. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I will not be back to work till Thursday but can check and see if I have any further information on what plug they are being installed in. I know we have had to work with zero start for other applications that they do not have listed. We have also found that the plug they are saying it should go in is not the right one.

Thanks for the information so far L1ftmech and Partsguy5. We used the fan as the front reference per the application guide. We originally tried the 3100019 for the H20-II but after talking with zero start tech support they suggested using the 3100016 which is for the H20 and to them it appeared to be a little smaller. Both heaters are the same diameter, wattage, and voltage. They only had a drawing for one of them so they couldn't confirm it.

When determining "left rear", are you using the fan/crank pulley end of the engine to reference "FRONT"? If so, you are correct.
There may also be a possibility that the block heater will not fit a "Stage II" H-20 if it was designated (by Zero Start) to fit the older H-20.
At this point I would suggest that you try to get in touch with the tech dept. at Zero Start if another member can't furnish better info.

Fact of the week
In 1923, French tennis player René Lacoste was promised a crocodile leather suitcase by his captain if he won his next match. He lost the match but won the nickname "the crocodile" which he had sown onto his tennis attire. Ten years later he launched the first polo shirt and Lacoste, the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing.
