Thanks for all your replies.
"Linde lingo" is a good term, as someone who isn't really familiar with forklift truck terms it is a bit on the confusing side. But at least knowing the machine in question is a 16ton capacity H160 truck (series 358) is a nice title for my pictures when/if I ever get them online.
Thanks again for all your help.
You're correct. It is a 358 series truck. The truck was made from 26,000# to 35,000# capacity at 48" load center, except for the 35,000# truck which was rated at 24" load center as well.
That is the older series.
The new series is the 359. The 359 series has Hydrostatic Drive and has capacities of:
22,000 @ 24 Model H100
26,000 @ 24 Model H120
31,000 @ 24 Model H140
33,000 @ 24 Model H150
35,000 @ 24 Model H160
40,000 @ 24 Model H180
26,000 @ 48 Model H120/1200
31,000 @ 48 Model H140/1200
35,000 @ 48 Model H160/1200
It is an H160D or H160-1200. An H160 is rated at 24" load center and an H160-1200 is rated at 48" load center. In Linde lingo it would be considered a "359" series truck.
