Discussion:
Adding headlights to Yale reach truck - How to do the wiring ?

What would be the easiest voltage connection point to run the wiring and the on/off switch for headlights ? And seeing as the truck is 24 volts, would the headlights typically be 24 volts or would I use 12 volt bulbs and a voltage reducer ?

And what would be a good aftermarket source of forklift headlights.. ideally with the metal guarding like in below example) ?

For example of what I mean see below sistership-

I can't comment on the wiring but your best bet is to go with LED lights. These come in multi voltage any where from 12 to 80 volt. The may seem expensive up front but by the time you figure the cost of changing bulbs LED is cheaper in the long run. These are available from any forklift dealer and several aftermarket sources.
