if you google "general electric ev100" you can get most of the information you need to work on the system itself.
Things such as this: hxxp://w w w.fsip.biz/Documents/EV100LX%20Instructions%20with%20EV200%20Supplement.pdf
of course correct the x's in the beginning and remove the spaces between the w's to make the link workable but that is just one doc i found on the EV100LX with EV200 supplement. There were other links as well. Theres plenty of GE EV information out there if u look for it. Just do your research, dont be lazy ;oP
have pdf ev100 bits e mail me trevorb at solutionmhe dot com will send to you
you need to write your email w/ the word "dot" in place of "."
Example: J_CFORKLIFT@YAHOO "DOT" COM
sorry bout that fella......my work e-mail is [email address removed] many thanks
hi there,it does bang forward and backwards, you dont have to switch it on and off again, you just have to keep pressing the pedal again and again, alsocan you explain what the rec's are please, and i can get straight on them.....thanks to all
If it bangs forward (or reverse), then PMTs on you (shuts down), do you have to shut the key switch off then on again? If so possibility of #2 rec not being any good.
..its 1992,be2056 translift bendi truck, serial number"TL3346"..cant tell you anything else from the plate...i cant seem to upload a pic on here so i could e-mail a pic to anyone who needs one.all help would be gratefully received.

model number
serial number
what control system is in it (i'm betting EV100)
as for the huge spark under the seat? i'm confused but every bendi i've seen theres a battery under the seat/hood. You may be seeing the spark from the contacts breaking and the flash reflecting through holes where the hood hinges are in the counterweight area in the rear.
but yes, the lurching could be a hung up 1rec but that usually triggers a fault code.
I'd check the contactors and make sure none are welded shut first. The 1A contactor can cause this problem if its welded shut, the system will try to start and run and when it sees the 1A closed it will trip out because the 1A is pulled in before expected, and open the directional contacts causing the big flash.
These trucks are notorious for burning contacts up, especially if the battery is in bad condition or discharged too much.
THEN you can go to the panel and check the rec's.
any fault codes on bdi display? lurching is usually rec unit think its rec 1 what model is it where is the control gear , in counterweight or under seat ? is controller ev100? is battery ok no links broken etc, prob find some info for you
