Can anyone tell me what the P/N is for the horn control module? The one I took off has a P/N 154-010-308. Raymond Parts in my area told me it changed to P/N 154-010-242. NOT!!!

RSB 728 states that the module is no longer available and the truck has to be retro-fitted with relay and diode assy.

That 233 is just a suppessor so it can't be the right one. I have diagrams of what's inside some of these modules and can check that out, but not until tomorrow. The 242 is just a diode connected to 2 of the terminals.

This is mounted right next to the horn and there are 2 wires hooked to it? If so, you need a 154-010-233. Terminals 1 and 6 are used ( holding it with the contacts facing up, 1 is on the left and 6 on the right). Terminal 1 will be positive and 6 will be negitive. To test it you should get 20K-60k ohms between 1-6. Switching the test leads should get 20k-60k also.

I have 2 of these beauties. Plus a couple older(Clark &Yale). Out of 13 forklifts here, I have only 2 made this century.

My God! I thought all the dinosaurs were dead! According to my parts guy that # did cross but now it crosses to "unavailable--see service bulletin". He's checking on it now.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
