Railways industry is one of Korea's key industries, boasting high-tech technologies by the industry leaders, such as Rotem Company, Woojin Industrial Systems and Hankook Fiber Glass, which are working as a magnet to attract the global players and key buyers to Korea Railways & Logistics Fair.



Korea Railways & Logistics Fair is only show in Korea dedicated to all facts of railways and logistics industrial fair. In addition, entitled the first exhibition in the world officially supported by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), it is one onf Asia's predominant exhibitions in the railways and logistics sectors.



Korea Railways & Logistics Fair presents great growth potential, thanks to the geographical benefits of Busan, the exhibition ground, as the very starting point of the Trans-Asian Railway (TAR) network - the Iron Silk Road that connects Asia and Europe. Busan is now stepping forward as the hub for the Railways and Logistics industries in Northeast Asia.



The third edition of the fair, which was held from 16-19 May 2007, was a successful international exhibition for the railways and logistics industries in Northeast Asia, attracting 132 exhibitors from 15 countries, with more than 12,000 visitors including 1,095 international buyers. In the previous event, Korean developed rolling stocks were on display, including the cutting-edge bullet train KTX-II with running speed of 350km/h, and the world's fourth light rail vehicles designed for unattended operation.



Korea Railways & Logistics Fair 2009 is expected to be spotlighted once again, with the re-connection of inter-Korean railways between South and North Koreas - for the first time in 56 years since it was cut in 1951, the two Koreas conducted test runs of cross-border railways in May 2007 and began a regular cargo train service across the border in December 2007.
