Contractor Management Excellence 2016

Australia, Melbourne - August 15-16
Minimising undesirable outcomes and building competitive advantage in contractor management by strategically managing risks in a holistic manner and building robust safety management plans.

Why You Should Attend Contractor Management Excellence 2016

As at 20 April, 41 Australian workers have been killed at work in 2016. The number was up to 193 in 2015. These are worrying facts. As Australia has high number of independent contractors, managing of outsourced work is getting more attention with each new case of injury and fatality. Companies must determine how to minimize costly penalties that often result from minor oversights and improper contractor behavior.

In the event of not complying with the required regulations and procedures, companies are looking at massive fines and complicated disputes. Not only that, their reputation will be severely affected and project delays will incur undesirable costs to the company.
Effective contractor management and a holistic risk management strategy would ensure both clients and contractors fully meet their respective obligations as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Contractor Management Excellence 2016 will discuss what makes the dynamics of successful owner and contractor relationships, address key challenges pertaining to prequalifying before contracting, solidifying risk management strategies and how to more effectively comply with safety measures. This will allow for companies to realize competitive advantage through an increase in productivity and minimizing undesirable outcomes. This conference will feature high profile speakers from diverse range of industries: Telco, Chemical, Construction, Oil & Gas, Medical, Transportation, and Logistics. There will be a new range of practical case studies from multi-million dollar projects to multi-billion dollar projects.

Fact of the week
At the opening ceremony of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932, marching bands were instructed to walk out of step as they crossed the bridge. This unusual directive was given as a precaution due to concerns about the bridge's structural integrity during its early use.
