Toyota Material Handling Japan and Fujitsu have launched the country’s first artificial intelligence (AI) forklift driving analysis service.

The service, which uses Fujitsu’s Kozuchi AI capabilities, will be available through Toyota Material Handling Japan’s Folklore suite of subscription services for logistics sites.

According to Toyota, many warehouse managers install forklift dash cameras to monitor the equipment’s operations. However, reviewing the footage can be time consuming and evaluations can be inconsistent.

The AI Forklift Driving Analysis service uses AI to analyse dash camera footage to detect unsafe operations and generate a safe driving scorecard for each operator.

Folklore, released by Toyota in 2021, collects stores and analyses data on forklift operating conditions and usage status.

Fujitsu provides the AI service Fujitsu Kozuchi on Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS, the data and AI-powered operations platform of Fujitsu Uvance, which leverages data and AI.

Words of support …

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
