Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds supports the mental and physical health of workersThe 2025 “R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Industry Day of Action”, a day on which those in the warehousing, road transport and logistics sectors are encouraged to take action to improve the mental and physical health of themselves and their colleagues, is set to take place on May 6.
As in previous years, the day is organised jointly by Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, a not-for-profit foundation focussed specifically on the above-mentioned sectors, and R U OK?, a national suicide prevention charity that encourages Australians from all walks of life to have conversations with friends and colleagues when experiencing personal difficulties.
This year’s R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Industry Day of Action follows the theme - “Ask R U OK? – No qualifications needed”.
According to organisers, the message here is that you don’t need to be a qualified counsellor to ask someone if they’re struggling.
Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder says she is excited to continue this partnership with R U OK?
“This marks our fourth year running R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds with R U OK?,” says Frauenfelder.
"We're excited to bring back this Industry Day of Action, encouraging the industry to share resources and spread the message, while also reminding everyone that, although May 6 prompts us to ask 'R U OK?', meaningful conversations should continue throughout the year."
To support the cause, Healthy Heads has launched new and updated free resources available at its website.
These resources are designed to help individuals and organisations plan and promote their own R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds events, share crucial information about mental health awareness, and encourage participation in the Industry Day of Action.
