Aerial work platform maker Snorkel has appointed its first official distributor in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Singapore-based Huationg (Myanmar) Pte Ltd and its local affiliate Nippo Logistics will represent the company in this emerging market.

Nick Sowden, president of Snorkel Asia, says Huationg is an ideal partner in Myanmar. "The Snorkel product portfolio will fit very well in its existing heavy equipment and construction machinery operations.

"Huationg's expertise ... also means the company understands how to properly support customers ... in the field, which is important in any market."

Huationg has ordered a Snorkel A62JRT articulated boom and a Snorkel S3246E electric slab scissor lift, which it will display at a major trade show in the city of Yangon, Myanmar early next year.
